Friday Update: Got up at 4am and headed down to the ferry dock.

Picked up metal detector from Chris this morning and spent the day checking the cove.

I did some more rock searching today. Surf was too rough to snorkel. Met with Chris from Commercial Dive Services and discussed the whole scenario.

VISAR got called away to finish a search and rescue from Monday. Coast Guard was there as well. Graham gave me a contact at a commercial dive company and they jumped right on this.

Arrived Monday in Tortola. Checked sea conditions at Belmont point. For the record, we are still hopeful that we can find some other items Ben had in his possession. It's definitely calmer now than it was in January....

Today the seas were too rough to dive so we searched around on the rocks to see if we could find any other items. We’re still looking for Ben’s cell phone, camera and wallet. We are hoping it will surface as re-enforcement.

It’s with deep sorrow to report that we found Ben’s IPod washed up in the rocks in a dangerous area we feared he may have gone. Everything has pointed to this scenario and it would seem that our worst fears have come true.
