On January 12th, 2008 we lost our very good friend Ben Wu. Through his generous spirit, his kindness, and his support of the Connecticut music scene he touched numerous lives. This is a place for his friends to share memories and remember a truly special person. None of us who have known him will ever be the same.

This site is a work-in-progress. Please let us know if you have any ideas on things to add.

Help Raise Money for Ben's Favorite Charities

As many of you know, Jeff and Ben collected a lot of autographed memorabilia over the years. Jeff is auctioning off some of the collection to raise money for some of Ben's favorite charities - Gospel for Asia,, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and Gary Craig's "We Are The Children" Foundation. Check out the items here!

01/12/2009 - One Year Ago Today

It's been one year since we lost Ben.... the world has been a little less bright because of it. Today we are reflecting on all of the good times and remembering our friend.

Happy Birthday Ben

Today (May 1, 2008) is Ben's birthday. Jeff is down island having a cocktail in Ben's honor in the cove. We're drinking here at home.

The Guest Book

Share your rememberance of Ben in our guestbook or email us photos.

You can also download a copy of the full BVINews post in PDF format byclicking here.

Thank You

Thank you to everyone who attended the memorials. It was a true testament to our friend Ben to see how many of you he has personally touched.

We've posted the full text of Jeff's eulogy for everyone to read. Check it out here.

Donations

We are pleased to announce the creation of the Ben Wu Fund. Ben generously donated to several local charities and we are still working to determine which would be the most fitting tribute to Ben, but in the meantime we are now accepting donations.

"75% of the earth is covered by the ocean. It’s much fuller now…They say that a man is measured by his courage, but I say a man is measured by the amount of sorrow people feel when he’s gone. We’ll miss you Ben Wu. You are one of a kind and can never be replaced. Be well on your journeys. We love you. " -- JF
